Export B00150 Steel Lower Bainite Austempering - China

Lower Bainite Austempering: B00150 steel is heated to 855-875°C, held for 50-70 minutes, then isothermally heated in a 220-240°C nitrate bath for 3-4 hours.

Finally, it is rinsed with hot water at 70-80°C.

The hardness requirement is 58-62 HRC.

For large bearing parts, tempering at 260°C and holding for 2.5 hours is also required.

The austempered structure is lower bainite + carbides + a small amount of martensite + very small amounts of retained austenite, with minimal quenching distortion, high strength, and excellent toughness.

Lower Bainite Austempering: B00150 steel is heated to 830-850°C, isothermally heated in a 240-300°C nitrate bath, then air-cooled.

The hardness requirement is 58-62 HRC, with Ms = 202°C.

The austempered structure is lower bainite + carbides + a small amount of martensite + very small amounts of retained austenite, with minimal quenching distortion, high strength, and excellent toughness.
