SKH51 round bar is a popular starting form for manufacturers of cutting tools, arbors, pins and precision shafts that need the red hardness and wear resistance of M2-type high-speed steel.

The round profile makes it ideal for turning, grinding and centreless finishing to tight diameters.

Each batch is checked for diameter tolerance, surface quality and hardness uniformity, with mill test reports available on request.

Annealed delivery keeps the steel soft enough for drilling, milling and threading before final heat treatment, saving tool wear during pre-machining.
