1.2344 is the German Werkstoffnummer for the H13 hot work tool steel, equivalent to AISI H13 and JIS SKD61 - Songshun supplies this European-grade steel to project standards that European mould and die makers expect, with EN material certificates and full heat-number traceability.

As a hot work grade, 1.2344 is chosen where tools face repeated heating and cooling.

Its red hardness, resistance to thermal fatigue and ability to hold shape at elevated service temperatures make it suitable for continuous hot operation rather than cold cutting duties.

We offer 1.2344 as forged or rolled bars, plates and blocks, in the soft-annealed condition for easy machining or pre-hardened for direct use.

Stock is kept in common sizes, and cut-to-length or cut-to-shape service is available on request.

Common applications cover aluminium and zinc die-casting dies, hot forging and extrusion tooling, and inserts that operate in the high-temperature window of hot forming processes.
