1 - Product Overview

The Automatic Shearing Machine is the precision cutting station in your steel drum production line.

Following the leveling process, it takes over to produce the final, accurately sized blank.

Its sole function is to make rapid, clean, and perfectly repeatable cuts.

The length precision of each blank directly determines the circumference and quality of the final drum body, making this machine indispensable for maintaining dimensional consistency and high throughput.

2 - Working Principle

The shear operates on a servo-driven feed and precision mechanical cutting principle for unmatched accuracy.

Core Structure: The machine consists of a rigid C-frame made from thick steel plate, a fixed lower blade, a moving upper blade, a precision gear drive system, a servo-driven feeder, and a PLC control cabinet with touchscreen HMI.

Control Logic: The cutting length is programmed into the PLC.

The servo feeder advances the material to the exact set length, then signals the shear to execute the cut.

The entire cycle is automated and synchronized with the line speed.

Process Flow:

The leveled sheet is fed into the shear by the servo-driven feeder.

When the sheet has advanced to the exact pre-programmed length, the feed stops with servo precision.

A clutch engages, and the powerful upper blade, driven by the gear system, descends to make a clean, instantaneous cut against the hardened lower blade.

The cut blank is discharged onto a conveyor or stacking system, and the cycle repeats.
