????Key Points of Material Processing Technology Forging and Pretreatment
EN NF Z200C12 steel requires slow preheating to 700℃, followed by rapid heating to 900-1050℃ for forming.
Slow cooling (furnace cooling is preferred) is required after forging.
Annealing involves holding at 800-850℃ followed by slow cooling, achieving a hardness ≤240 HB and improving machinability.
Welding and Repair
EN NF Z200C12 steel requires strict preheating (300-500℃) and the use of specialized welding electrodes (such as hardface electrodes).
Immediate tempering (180℃ × 4 hours) is necessary after welding to prevent hydrogen embrittlement.
Surface Treatment
EN NF Z200C12 steel requires tempering at 180℃ for 4 hours after hard chrome plating to prevent hydrogen embrittlement; surface titanium plating (PVD) can further extend its service life.
