1.3505 steel is a high-quality alloy bearing steel, equivalent to DIN 100Cr6 and GB GCr15 steel.
This high-carbon, chromium-containing, low-alloy steel exhibits high hardness and uniformity, excellent wear resistance, and high contact fatigue strength after quenching and tempering.
Its excellent fatigue resistance is primarily due to the following factors: Chemical Composition: A high carbon content, ranging from 0.93% to 1.05%, provides high hardness and wear resistance, fundamental to the material's load-bearing capacity.
A chromium content of 1.35% to 1.60% enhances hardenability, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance, while also forming high-hardness Cr₇C₃ carbides, which contribute to improved fatigue resistance.
Heat Treatment: Appropriate heat treatment processes can further enhance the fatigue resistance of W-Nr.
1.3505 steel.
For example, the hardness of W-Nr.
1.3505 steel after oil quenching and tempering is 28-34HRC, and the annealed hardness is less than 250HB.
Through reasonable quenching and tempering treatment, a good microstructure can be obtained, thereby improving the fatigue resistance of the material.
