Typical Applications of X210Cr12 Material

(a) Primarily used for silicon steel sheet stamping dies; suitable for drawing and blanking dies with simple geometries that require high wear resistance under conditions of low dynamic load.

(b) Used in the manufacture of bending dies for punches, dies, and inserts that feature complex geometries and require high wear resistance; a hardness of 60–64 HRC is recommended when used for punches and dies.

(c) Used to manufacture dies (female components) for deep drawing operations where wear resistance is required; a hardness of 62–64 HRC is recommended.

(d) When used as punches for the cold extrusion of aluminum parts, a hardness of 60–62 HRC is recommended.

(e) Used for bending spring steel sheets with a carbon content of 0.65%–0.80%, at a hardness of 60–62 HRC.

(f) Suitable for use in blanking dies, punches, thread rolling dies, shear blades, cold heading dies, and clay molding dies.

(g) Suitable for use in thermosetting plastic molding dies, among other applications.

Furthermore, X210Cr12 material (equivalent to the Japanese grade SKD1) is widely utilized in dies for shearing stainless steel sheets, deep drawing, and shearing silicon steel sheets, as well as in cold pressing dies, master dies, compound dies, and tube drawing dies.

It is also used in the manufacture of cutting tools, thread rolling dies, and various other cutting implements.
