Air Hardened Tool Steel Iso X153crmov12 Material Lf Vd Process - China

For the LF+VD refining process of ISO X153CrMoV12 material, strengthening deoxidation during the reduction period in the LF furnace and ensuring the vacuum degassing effect in the VD furnace are the main process measures to reduce oxygen content.

In the experiment, combined deoxidation was used in the LF furnace, controlling the white slag basicity ≥4 and the VD furnace vacuum degree ≥67Pa.

The results in Table 3 show that compared with the average oxygen content of 32.57×10⁻⁶ in normal production, the [О] in the ISO X153CrMoV12 material in the process experiment was only 16×10⁻⁶, a reduction of 50.88%, achieving the expected results in controlling the oxygen content ofISO X153CrMoV12 material.
