Core Characteristics of NF X153CrMoV12 Steel 1 - Chemical Composition and Microstructure of NF X153CrMoV12 Steel This steel uses a high-carbon, high-chromium alloy system (1.5% carbon, 12% chromium), with the addition of molybdenum (Mo) and vanadium (V) to form special carbides.

Its microstructure consists of uniformly distributed M7C3 type carbides and a tempered martensitic matrix.

Vacuum melting significantly reduces impurity content, ensuring material purity.

2 - Mechanical Properties of NF X153CrMoV12 Steel Wear Resistance: Rockwell hardness reaches 58-62 HRC, carbide volume fraction ≥18%, increasing wear life by 40% compared to SKD11 when stamping stainless steel plates (hardness ≥400 HV).

Toughness: Impact toughness value ≥12 J/cm², avoiding brittle fracture under high hardness.

Thermal Stability: Maintains 50 HRC hardness after tempering at 600℃, suitable for warm forging dies (300-500℃ operating conditions).

3 - Process Adaptability of NF X153CrMoV12 Steel

Heat Treatment: Austenitization at 1020℃ + staged quenching (200℃ isothermal) is recommended, with dimensional deformation rate controlled within 0.02%/100mm.

Machining: Annealed Brinell hardness ≤269 HB, suitable for precision wire cutting, but grinding requires special care.
