Chromium carbide powder is a grayish-black powder with a melting point of approximately 1, 890°C and a Mohs hardness of 8.5 - It exhibits excellent wear resistance and oxidation resistance, making it an important raw material for the production of wear-resistant coatings and hard alloys.

The powder purity can reach over 99%, with a chromium content of ≥75%, carbon content of 10-15%, and particle size controllable between 1-10 μm, making it suitable for various sintering and spraying processes.

In the steel industry, when applied to the surface of rollers using plasma spraying technology, it can extend the service life of the rollers by 3-5 times and reduce rolling costs.

Chromium carbide powder exhibits outstanding high-temperature oxidation resistance, with a low oxidation rate below 900°C in air.

The formed oxide film prevents further oxidation, making it suitable for high-temperature applications.

When used as a coating for gas turbine blades, it enables the blades to operate normally at temperatures of 600-800°C, extending maintenance intervals.

The powder has high sintering activity.

After sintering with metal bonding phases at 1100-1300°C, it can form high-density hard alloys with bending strengths exceeding 1500 MPa.

In high-temperature bearing applications, such alloy bearings can withstand high temperatures and heavy loads, outperforming traditional bearing steels.
