SKH51 tool strip is the same tungsten-molybdenum M2-type high-speed steel delivered as precision slit flat stock, the convenient form for making long thin cutting members without first rolling or slitting a plate.

In strip form the steel is already close to final thickness, saving grinding and profiling time.

Songshun provides SKH51 strip with controlled thickness tolerance and clean slit edges, supplied annealed for safe handling and machining.

Common widths and thicknesses are held in stock, and custom strip dimensions can be slit and cut to length on request.

After hardening and tempering the strip reaches around 63-66 HRC with the red hardness that keeps edges keen during continuous cutting.

We can arrange heat treatment and surface grinding so the strip arrives ready for the customer's tool-making process.

Typical uses include band-saw and circular-saw blades, planer and woodworking knives, scraper and wear strips, and thin precision cutters in packaging, paper and converting machinery.
