H13 steel plate from Songshun Steel gives die and mould builders a ready to machine starting material for large hot working tools.

Rolled and forged plates of this grade are produced in the same chemistry family as 1.2344, SKD61 and 4Cr5MoSiV1, so customers who design around those standards can source H13 plate as a direct substitute without changing their drawings.

Our H13 plate stock focuses on practical plate working advantages: flatness controlled after normalizing, clean surface after milling, and homogeneous carbide distribution through the thickness that prevents premature thermal cracking on the working face.

Ultrasonic inspection covers the full area of each plate to SEP 1921, and plates in the thicker range are additionally tested for banding and inclusion rating.

Standard supply is annealed to HB 229 maximum; pre hardened plates at HRC 45 plus and quenched tempered blanks at HRC 46 50 are both available.

Typical plate applications include die casting mold cavity plates and inserts, hot stamping tooling, extrusion die backs and bolsters, press hardening dies, hot shear blade holders, and large plastic mold base members where high compression strength is needed.

Thickness normally covers 20mm up to 300mm from stock, with wider forged modules produced to order on our 7000 ton hydraulic press.

Plates can be sawn to your cutting list, drilled, gun drilled for cooling channels and rough machined before delivery.

Heat treatment with hardness certificate is offered for customers who receive ready to use tooling.
