Applications

Note: Due to its strong corrosivity, it is only used in small dosages in food-related scenarios.

2 - 105 Acid (Fuming Sulfuric Acid) Specifications

Also called fuming sulfuric acid, it is a sulfuric acid solution of sulfur trioxide (chemical formula: H₂SO₄·xSO₃, x=0~0.20).

It is a colorless to light brown fuming liquid (SO₃ combines with air moisture to form sulfuric acid droplets, hence "fuming").

When SO₃ content in concentrated sulfuric acid reaches 20%, it is named 105 acid (formula: H₂SO₄·20%SO₃).
