Cold drawing involves forcibly stretching 30X steel at room temperature.
The tensile stress exceeds its yield strength, causing plastic deformation of the steel bar, thereby straightening the steel and increasing its strength.
After cold drawing, the yield strength of 30X steel increases, but its plasticity decreases.
2 - Cold Drawing Process Parameters
Cold Drawing Control Stress: The tensile stress during cold drawing should exceed the yield strength of 30X steel, but must be controlled within a certain range to avoid excessive deformation.
3 - Property Changes After Cold Drawing
-Strength Improvement: After cold drawing, the yield strength and tensile strength of 30X steel are significantly increased.
Plasticity Reduction: Cold drawing reduces the steel's plastic deformation capacity, but appropriate heat treatment can restore some of this plasticity.
