It can be used to manufacture various bearing rings with wall thicknesses ≤ 12mm and outer diameters ≤ 250mm.

It is also used for rolling elements with a wide range of sizes, such as balls, tapered rollers, cylindrical rollers, spherical rollers, and needle rollers.

It is also used in the manufacture of molds, precision measuring tools, and other mechanical parts requiring high wear resistance, high elastic limit, and high contact fatigue strength.

GCr15 steel is primarily used to manufacture balls, rollers, and bushings for drive shafts in internal combustion engines, electric locomotives, machine tools, tractors, rolling equipment, drilling rigs, railway vehicles, and mining machinery.
