1.2080 steel bars heat treatment process and optimization 1 - Standard heat treatment process Low-temperature tempering (180-250℃): Maintains high hardness of 60-62 HRC, used for wear-resistant molds.

Medium-high temperature tempering (500-550℃): Hardness decreases to 55-58 HRC, improving toughness and reducing the risk of wire cutting cracking.

Low-temperature quenching (950-1000℃ oil cooling): Hardness 60-64 HRC, minimal deformation, suitable for precision stamping dies.

High-temperature quenching (1080-1120℃ oil cooling): Initiates secondary hardening, but retains over 60% austenite, requiring multiple tempering cycles.

Annealing: Holding at 850-870℃ followed by slow cooling (≤30℃/h), hardness ≤269 HBW, improves machinability.

1 - 2080 steel bars process innovation: Solution double refinement: 1100-1150℃ solution treatment + cyclic quenching, refines carbides and grains, doubling impact toughness.

Bainitic isothermal quenching: 980℃ heating + 240-260℃ nitrate isothermal quenching, obtains a mixed bainitic/martensite microstructure, increasing service life by 30%-50%.
