1.6523) is a typical Cr-Ni-Mo series low-carbon alloy carburizing steel.

Due to the synergistic effect of its alloying elements, it possesses high hardenability and is often used to manufacture medium- to high-load parts requiring core strength and high surface hardness.

Narrow top-quenching dispersion band, wide process window The standard allows for "narrow dispersion band" ordering, ensuring that the Jominy hardness bandwidth of bars from the same heat number is ≤5 HRC in the top-quench test.

This results in high hardness uniformity after heat treatment of long parts, reducing subsequent straightening/grinding allowances.

Typical heat treatment and achievable section hardness - After carburizing: 930 ℃ air cooling + 820-840 ℃ oil quenching + 150-200 ℃ tempering; surface ≥ 58 HRC, core 38-42 HRC (Ø40 mm bar).

- Quenched and tempered state: Oil quenching at 850℃ + tempering at 550-650℃; tensile strength 900-1000 MPa, yield strength 700-800 MPa, AKV ≥ 50 J, hardness 250-300 HB.

Production practice shows that oil quenching of Ø60-80 mm shaft parts can maintain a core hardness of 28-32 HRC or higher, meeting the design requirement of "high core strength".
