We provide custom forged H13 steel bars (1.2344 / SKD61) for die casting, hot extrusion and hot forging molds, with full control over the whole forging workflow to refine grain structure and eliminate internal porosity.

Custom Forging Workflow for H13 steel bars

1 - Melting: EAF + LF+VD vacuum refining, ESR re-melting optional for premium mold-grade H13

2 - Ingot heating: Stepwise heating to avoid thermal cracks; soaking for homogenization

3 - Hot forging: Multi upsetting & drawing (3-upset & 3-draw recommended), total forging ratio ≥4: 1 - Start forging temp: 1065–1175°C - Finish forging temp ≥850°C

4 - Post-forging slow cooling, then spheroidizing annealing

5 - Rough machining / turning / peeling

6 - Non-destructive test: UT ultrasonic inspection, hardness & metallurgy test

7 - Precision cutting, surface grinding as custom drawing

8 - MTC / EN10204 3.1 certification delivery ✅ Our custom advantages
