4130 hardened steel is a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel with good comprehensive properties.

After proper heat treatment, the minimum tensile strength can reach 135, 000psi, the minimum yield strength is 75, 000psi, the Brinell hardness range is between 225-295BHN, the elongation is not less than 15%, and the fatigue strength limit is about 40ksi.

It has high strength and can withstand heavy loads.

It also has good toughness, ductility and corrosion resistance.

The strength can be further improved by cold working or specific heat treatment.

Processing characteristics: 4130 hardened steel has good machinability in the annealed state, and can be processed by conventional methods such as cutting, drilling, and milling.

However, after hardening, the hardness increases, the difficulty of processing increases, and harder tools and appropriate processing parameters are required.

The welding performance is good, and good quality welded joints can be obtained by adopting appropriate welding processes and preheating before welding and heat treatment after welding.
