JIS SKD61 Plate is a hot work mould steel plate produced according to the Japanese JIS G4404 standard, fully equivalent to AISI H13 and DIN 1.2344 - Supplied by Songshun Steel, SKD61 plates offer excellent resistance to thermal fatigue, high hot strength, good toughness and fine polishability, so they are widely used for die casting dies, extrusion tooling, hot stamping moulds and plastic mold bases.

Typical chemical composition: C 0.37-0.43%, Si 0.8-1.2%, Mn 0.3-0.5%, Cr 4.8-5.5%, Mo 1.2-1.5%, V 0.9-1.1%.

Heat treated hardness is normally HRC 45-52, and the plate keeps stable dimensions under repeated heating and cooling working conditions.

Our JIS SKD61 plate stock covers regular thicknesses from 10mm up to 300mm, and large modules can be forged and machined to your drawings.

All plates are ultrasonic inspected, well annealed and shipped with mill test certificates; pre-hardened condition is also available on request.
