H13 flat bar is a convenient semi finished form for tool shops that want to save milling time before heat treatment.

Songshun Steel rolls and forges H13 flats in popular width and thickness combinations and keeps them annealed in our Dongguan warehouse, so customers can order very close to final size and start machining immediately on arrival.

Our flat bar production starts from well refined ingot material, hot forged and rolled with a controlled reduction ratio that refines the internal structure across the full section.

After normalizing and spheroidize annealing to HB 229 maximum, each flat is straightened, blast cleaned and visually inspected, then ultrasonic tested to SEP 1921 before packing.

Because the 5 percent chromium chemistry self air hardens, flats can be quenched in vacuum furnaces or oil free methods with limited distortion, and double tempering brings the working surface to HRC 45 to 52 for aluminium and magnesium die casting duty.

Typical flat bar uses include hot shear blades, trim dies, die holders, spacer plates, swaging dies, extrusion rails, hot punch guides and mould set wearing plates.

We keep common thicknesses from 10mm to 100mm and widths up to 400mm in stock, and wider or longer sizes are produced to order with a short forging lead time.

Saw cutting to your bar list, drilling and rough milling are all handled in house before shipment.

Every batch ships with mill test certificates, hardness readings and ultrasonic reports for easy incoming inspection.
