ML30CrMo alloy steel is a quenched and tempered steel for cold heading and cold extrusion.

1 - High strength and toughness: Through chromium and molybdenum alloying, it has both high strength and toughness.

Hardenability: The critical hardenability diameter in oil is 15~70mm, which is suitable for quenching and tempering of large-sized parts.

3 - Processing performance:

Machinability: Good, but the processing difficulty increases when the hardness increases.

Cold deformation plasticity: Medium, the deformation amount needs to be controlled to avoid cracking.

4 - Weldability: When the alloying elements are close to the upper limit, it needs to be preheated to above 175℃, and heat treatment is required after welding.

5 - Temper brittleness: There is a first type of temper brittleness in the range of 300~350℃, which needs to be optimized to avoid.
