Composition of 4KH5MF1S steel: 0.35-0.42 C, 1.0-1.3 Si, 0.3-0.6 Mn, 5.0-5.6 Cr, 1.0-1.4 Mo, 0.9-1.2 V, balance Fe.

Low sulphur and phosphorus for clean microstructure.

Mechanical and working behaviour of 4KH5MF1S steel:

- Service strength maintained at sustained metal temperatures near 600 °C

- Resistance to heat checking and flaking under cyclic thermal load

- Air hardening grade; minimum size distortion after quench-temper cycle

- Annealed delivery hardness max 229 HB; tempered hardness range 46-50 HRC Delivery programme of 4KH5MF1S steel:

- Flat bars from 12 mm to 300 mm thickness, widths up to 610 mm

- Blocks and plates sawn to customer drawings, tolerance +/-1 mm
