The cold-drawing production process for JIS SUP10 material typically includes the following steps:

1 - Raw Material Preparation: Standard JIS SUP10 material is selected and rigorously inspected for chemical composition, mechanical properties, and surface quality to ensure the absence of defects such as cracks, folds, and inclusions.

2 - Pretreatment:

Annealing: The steel is slowly heated to 740-770°C and held for a sufficient time to fully heat the steel.

It is then slowly cooled in a furnace to reduce hardness, improve plasticity, and enhance machinability, preparing for subsequent cold drawing.

Pickling: Pickling removes impurities such as scale and rust from the JIS SUP10 material surface, improving surface cleanliness.

3 - Cold Drawing: This is the core process, where the raw material is formed into the desired shape and size using a drawing die.

During the drawing process, the steel undergoes plastic deformation under tensile stress.

For high-strength materials like JIS SUP10 material, multiple drawing passes may be required.

The deformation during each drawing must be appropriately controlled, and the cumulative reduction ratio is determined based on specific requirements.

At the same time, attention should be paid to lubrication and cooling.

Appropriate lubricants and cooling methods can be used to reduce the pulling force, prevent scratches on the steel surface, and prevent performance degradation due to overheating.
