KS STB2 material is a high-carbon chromium bearing steel specified in the Korean standard KS D3525-2002 - Its chemical composition meets the requirements for precision bearing steel, with a carbon content between 0.9500 and 1.1000, a chromium content between 1.3000 and 1.6000, and small amounts of manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, and silicon.

After quenching and tempering, KS STB2 material exhibits high and uniform hardness and excellent wear resistance, enabling it to withstand the extreme pressures and frictional forces required of precision bearings during operation.

Furthermore, STB2 is comparable to bearing steels such as China's GCr15, Japan's SUJ2, and the United States' 52100, all of which are commonly used precision bearing steels.
