XPS extruded polystyrene insulation board is a hard board made of polystyrene resin and is molded by continuously extruded foaming.

Its internal structure is an independent closed bubble structure.

It is an environmentally friendly insulation material with excellent properties such as high compression resistance, zero water absorption, good moisture resistance, zero air permeability, light weight, good corrosion resistance, long service life, and low thermal conductivity.

XPS Extruded Polystyrene Insulation Board

SHENZHOU XPS extruded polystyrene board is a rigid, closed-cell foam board developed for construction applications where thermal performance, low water absorption and compressive strength must be considered together.

The series includes X150, X200, X250, X300, X350, X400, X450 and X500 grades, with published compressive strength ranging from ≥150 kPa to ≥500 kPa.

These XPS extruded polystyrene boards can be specified for wall and roof insulation, cold-storage floors, prefabricated buildings, parking platforms and selected infrastructure projects.

Why Use Closed-Cell XPS Extruded Polystyrene Board?

Low Water Absorption

The closed-cell structure limits water penetration, helping the board maintain its insulation function in roofs, cold-storage floors, foundations and other assemblies exposed to moisture.

The product should be described as having low water absorption rather than zero water absorption.

Application-Specific Compressive Strength

Eight grades allow buyers to select the XPS board according to the anticipated load.

This is particularly important for cold-storage floors, parking platforms, load-bearing floor assemblies and infrastructure applications.

Stable Thermal Insulation

The published thermal conductivity range of 0.027–0.034 W/(m·K) supports the use of the board in energy-efficient building envelopes.

Required thickness should be calculated according to the target thermal resistance or U-value of the complete construction system.

Rigid and Lightweight Board Format

XPS rigid foam insulation board can be cut and arranged into regular installation layouts while adding less weight than many conventional insulation materials.

The selected fixing method, joint treatment, waterproofing and protective layer must be compatible with the complete assembly.
