Material Standard: Cr5Mo1V steel is an air-hardening die steel with deep air-hardening properties, which is extremely beneficial for complex dies that must maintain their shape after quenching and tempering.

Its wear resistance is between that of manganese-based and high-carbon, high-chromium tool steels, and its toughness is better than either.
