BH13 steel is the British Standard hot work tool steel (equivalent to AISI H13 / W-Nr 1.2344 / EN X40CrMoV5-1), and it performs well in copper and brass alloy die casting where molds face high thermal load and aggressive filling.

The balanced chromium-molybdenum-vanad ium chemistry of BH13 steel gives good hot hardness, strong resistance to heat checking and reliable dimensional stability under repeated thermal cycles.

It helps copper alloy die casting molds achieve longer service life and cleaner casting surfaces.

We supply BH13 steel as forged round bars, flat bars and blocks in annealed or pre-hardened condition.

Every heat is verified through our 9-step in-house quality inspection including XRF, OES, UT, hardness, straightness and dimensional checks.

Mill test certificates and custom sizes available on request.
