High Performance Cr5mo1v Tool Steel Supply - China

Cr5Mo1V tool steel (corresponding to American A2 steel, Japanese SKD12, and German X100CrMoV5-1) is a high-carbon, medium-chromium, low-deformation, air-hardening cold work die steel, belonging to the alloy tool steel category.

Its chemical composition contains 0.95%-1.05% carbon, 4.75%-5.50% chromium, 0.90%-1.40% molybdenum, and 0.15%-0.50% vanadium.

It is treated with spheroidizing annealing at 820-860℃ and tempering at 180-520℃.

This Cr5Mo1V tool steel exhibits high wear resistance, high hardenability, and uniform carbide distribution.

Its air-hardening deformation is approximately one-quarter that of manganese-based oil-hardening steel, and its overall performance is superior to CrWMn and 9Mn2V steel.

It is mainly used in the manufacture of cold work dies such as blanking dies, forming dies, punches, and thread rolling dies.

It performs particularly well in the fields of steel plate forming, aluminum/copper alloy processing, and wear-resistant plastic molds, with a typical service life of 110, 000 to 400, 000 cycles.

Its physical properties include a density of 7.84 t/m³, an elastic modulus of 203, 000 MPa, and a hardness of 57-64 HRC after heat treatment.
