- Stress relieved after rough machining: slight change, around annealed level

- As quenched from 1210-1230 C: about 63-65 HRC, with some retained austenite present

- After first tempering at 540-560 C: hardness rises slightly through secondary hardening

- After triple tempering at 540-560 C: stable working hardness 63-65 HRC
