KS SNCM220 alloy material is an alloy carburizing steel conforming to the Japanese JIS G4053 technical specification.

Its chemical composition includes various alloying elements such as carbon, chromium, nickel, and molybdenum.

After carburizing heat treatment, a high-hardness, wear-resistant layer (tensile strength ≥1176MPa) is formed on the surface, while the core retains good toughness (impact toughness ≥78J/cm²), making it suitable for manufacturing high-impact load parts such as automotive bearings and drive shafts.

The material conforms to the JIS G4053-2003 standard, corresponding to international grades such as American ASTM 8620 and British BS 805M20 - After oil quenching at 880±20℃ and tempering at 150-200℃, a martensitic structure is formed.

Material Properties: KS SNCM220 alloy material achieves a composite structure of a surface hardened layer and a tough matrix through carburizing treatment.

The surface carbon concentration can reach 0.7-1.0%, and the hardened layer depth is typically 1.0-2.5mm.

Its unique nickel-chromium-molybdenu m alloy system gives the material the following advantages: Hardening depth is increased by 40% compared to ordinary chromium steel; Contact fatigue life is superior to SCM420 material; It maintains an impact energy of ≥47J even at -40℃.
