What is it? A 23 micron biaxially oriented polyester film in pearl colour with a plain surface, supplied in roll form.
Why this gauge? 23 micron balances stiffness and yield: it runs without wrinkles on rotogravure printing equipment and keeps material cost per square metre low.
Where is it used? Mostly vacuum pouches and candy wrapping.
Converters in die cutting also specify it.
How does it perform? Density 1.40 g/cm3, tensile MD 180-220 / TD 200-250 MPa, haze 2.0-4.0 percent, usable from -60 to 150 C.
How is it packed? 16 rolls per pallet, edge protected, strapped and wrapped.
