What Is Flat Emitter Drip Tape?

Flat emitter drip tape is a thin-wall PE irrigation lateral with flat emitters installed at regular intervals inside the tape.

Water enters the emitter, passes through its internal flow path and exits near the crop root zone through the outlet formed in the tape wall.

When the system is not pressurized, the tape remains flat and can be supplied in long rolls.

During irrigation, water pressure opens the tape and distributes water through each emitter.

Long roll lengths support efficient manual or mechanical installation across crop rows.

Flat emitter drip tape is different from a conventional thick-wall dripline.

It is normally selected where buyers prioritize long roll lengths, close emitter spacing, low-pressure operation and seasonal crop-row installation.
