1.2312 (40crmnmos8-6) material is suitable for nitriding, induction hardening, and flame hardening.

due to its sulfur content, 1.2312 (40crmnmos8-6) plastic mold steel is not suitable for patterning.

for molds requiring uniform hardness throughout the core and products demanding better surface brightness, 1.2738 (40crmnnimo8-6-4) should be selected.
