NADH is a kind of chemical substance which is nicotinamide adenine dinucleotidereduced form of nicotinamide-adenine dinucleotid, i.e. Reduced Coenzyme Ⅰ; wherein N indicates nicotinamide, A indicates adenine, and D represents dinucleotide.

As NADH typically participates in the metabolism of substances and energy in cells, it is produced by the citric acid cycle in glycolysis and cellular respiration, and acts as a carrier and bio-electron donor of biohydrogen.

It transfers energy to ATP synthesis through oxidative phosphorylation on the inner membrane of mitochondria, so NADH is also called Enada NADH.
