The head and pinion of the tie-rod rotate with the help of a toothed rod.

Once the clamping process is completed, the reversing hydraulic valve releases the tie-rod, which moves through an angle of about 55 deg.

After the release, the tie-rod is returned to the housing of the cylinder.
