How Welded Wire Reinforcement (WWR) is made

Quality-controlled, hot-rolled light bars are cold-worked through a series of molds or cassettes to reduce size to produce project-specific diameter wire with higher yield strength.

Welded wire concrete reinforcing crossings are resistance welded by automated machines.

Pressure and heat fuse the interacting wires together to form a uniform section and secure it to a fixed position.

No self-consuming electrode material is used in the welding process.
