VINÍCOLA DE NELAS Sa. was founded in 1939, and from its inception dedicated to the sale of wine and spirits.
The Company is located in the centre of the Dão wine Region.
The Company’s modern wine production facility was constructed in 1990 with a capacity to process 3500 Tons of grapes at harvest time, and is equipped to bring out the best qualities of the excellent grapes grown in the Region.
The wine which we produce has all the characteristics and qualities which make the name «DÃO» celebrated as a high quality wine’s region.
Using wine and grapes from the Dão Region, we have a storage capacity of 4 million litters and we are one of the largest private « Adega » in the region and in a strong position to supply the exports needs.
Our wine was made with Dão grape varieties especially Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro Preto, Jaen and Tinta Roriz for the red and Encruzado, Arinto do Dão Borrado de Moscas and Cercial for the white.
Controlled by the Regional regulatory body ( C.V.R.D.), our wines are carefully matured in our cellars. After analysis, are then choose to form the bases of our special reserve stock which we promote under special labels which distinguish their age and superior quality.
