SOMICO is the one of the most modern foundries in EGYPT, it is erected on the basis of the application of the most advanced technology in the foundry field, to meet such sophisticated quality requirements and to be at the recognized international standards.
SOMICO have been operating according to the know -how license agreement obtained from one of the biggest foundries in Europe (PHB Stahlguss International in Germany) for 15 years.
* Production Capacity = 3000 ton/year/ one shift
* Melting unit = 2 ABB induction furnaces, 2 ton capacity each
* Moulding Process = No bake process (Furan resin)Which is characterized by producing excellent surface finish, with minimum dimension
tolerance.
* Heat treatment Unit = 10 ton capacity heat treatment furnace
* Quality assurance: the company is applying a system of quality control supported by modern equipment to control chemical analysis, temperature of tapping and pouring,microstructure of alloys,mechanical properties, non destructive tests.
