Shetland situated at the junction between the North Sea and North Atlantic offers an ideal location with its crystal-clear waters, rough climate and untouched natural surroundings for the rearing of high quality farmed Salmon.
Salmon are harvested using our own Well Boats and transported as soon as possible alive to Lerwick, where having been pumped into our modern indoor Harvesting/Killing Station recently completed in 1999 and attached to the Lerwick Fish Traders factory, equipped with the latest Flow Iced Chill and Bleed tanks, salmon are slaughtered and bled ready for processing in the shortest possible time before rigor mortice develops, to maintain our unique freshest possible end products.
Lerwick Fish Traders uses the latest Deheading, Gutting, Filleting, Portioning and Grading machinery with computerised Stock and Order Control.
The factory has its own Laboratory and Quality Control Department ensuring that the high standards demanded within Laschinger Aqua Group are maintained at all times.
