How to choose a magnetic stir bar
Length of stir bar depends on the flask base diameter.
Normally, the stir bar length should be between 30 and 60% of the flask base diameter.
Diameter of the stir bar depends on the nature of the mixed solution.
As the viscosity of the solution increases, the optimum diameter of the stir bar increases.
Speed of mixing also determines the optimum size of stir bar.
Use smaller size stir bar if high mixing speed depth.

Please note that magnetic stirrers are suitable for low and medium viscosity solutions.
