FLEXIBLE NEON WIRE ( EL WIRE) Flexible Neon Wire, also called Electroluminescent (EL ) Wire is the new generation product in global lighting and display industry. Wrapped by colorful plastic tube on its surface, it appears similar to common phone wire, emitting light along its entire length but without any heat radiation. It consumes much lower power, just 50-70% of LED lamp, 20-40%,rope lamp and 1-10% neon light. Funded by China government, it was developed and put into production by professional Institute of Chinese Academy of Science, thus opening a new era in lighting and display field featured with energy saving, environmental protection and health. Low energy consumption, environmentally friendly, safe: wide range voltage application, suitable for both AC and DC, non-toxicant and no harm to human being. 3. Flexible, can be bent, twisted, stretched and spliced, brightness will not be affected, easy to stall, no need of any professional background. 4. Comes in entire length, animated and colorful lighting effect can be achieved by controlling relating electric circuit . 5. Be fixed on decoration surface directly by using transparent adhesive tape, glue, clip, thread, nail, plastic card etc. APPLICATION FIELDS 1. TECHNICAL APPLICATION INSTRUCTION FOR FLEXIBLE NEON WIRE (EL WIRE) Patent NO. : ZL01251151.X LIGHTING THEORY: Technology of electroluminescence (EL), to work under function of electric field. BASIC STRUCTURE: Following from the center to the outside are respectively the first electrode (copper wire), lighting layer (EL phosphor material), the second electrode ( 2 fine copper wire), and colorful plastic layer (PVC tube). 1.Coloful plastic layer 2. Strip the plastic layer, exposing the lighting layer and two fine copper wire (the second electrode ) then remove half of lighting layer, exposing the first copper electrode 2. Separate the two copper electrodes, solder them with two electrodes of common wire respectively, wrap each of the joint with shrinkable tube, make sure the two soldered joints are not touching to avoid short circuit. 3. Cover the soldered joints with shrinkable tube again, keep it insulating and humid - protective with glue. 4. EL wire joint method is same as the above. MATTERS NEEDING ATTENTION: 1. EL wire are prohibited to be joined with household outlet directly without inverter connection. 2. EL wire are not allowed to be cut under the electric working condition, electrode in the cutting joint may have short circuit, keep the joint sealed and waterproof. 3. Different length of EL wire should be matched with appropriate drivers, otherwise drivers would be damaged thus causing danger. 4. Animated effect are achieved by the control of drivers. 5. Try to avoid EL wire being bent, folded or stretched repeatedly when during installation. 6. Rough transportation may injure the product, turn off the power immediately and return it back to suppliers when EL wire been found heat. 7. Keep corrosive and flammable items away from product application environment to avoid unexpected danger. 8. Instructions should be given by professionals during installation.
