COMPANY PROFILE

The Romanian professional publication market is currently under increased pressure for diversification as a result of recent transformations and consolidation in the Romanian business environment.

Internet Society Romania an N.G.Organization posits as its main objective the dissemination of correct and valuable information for the Romanian public. Laboratorul Internaţional de Comunic@re (The International Communic@tion Laboratory Program), started in 1995 by CIR UNESCO, has included several projects of information-gathering and dissemination regarding communications and Internet field for various Romanian institutions. COMUNIC@ŢII Mobile Review is a project of CIR UNESCO – Laboratorul Internaţional de Comunic@re affiliated to UNESCO. Former UNESCO Club is now Internet Society Romania, a new non-profit, non-governmental and professional membership organization. It focuses on: standards, education, and policy issues. We have more than 500 individual members in all country. part of romanian Internet community. We have also a strong lobby on the romanian political structure (even tehe future prime minister, after november elections) and we want to promote several Internet laws and regulatory in the next 4 years.
3. General objectives
The immediate objective is the publication on a monthly basis of the COMUNIC@ŢII Mobile Review. An experimental issue was released in July last year. Its success (the market demand for the next issue exceedes the initial offer) confirmed the market value of the its concept. The review proposes a two folded approach to the phenomenon of mobile communication: it treats communication both as a cultural and socio-economic factor and as an industry-leading technology. All the other publications in the field offer a unilateral approach, from the scientific/technical point of view only. COMUNIC@ŢII Mobile responds to the larger contexts in which its readers use the information: for example, an article about communication strategies within a middle-range enterprise exceeds the limits of a description of the mere technical environment of that enterprise.
· In the medium term, COMUNIC@ŢII Mobile has become a strategic media partner for the economic agents in the field by playing a key role in the flow of information and opinions relevant to the emerging Romanian IT&C industry.
· In the long term, the objective is a dominant position for COMUNIC@ŢII Mobile on the market of communications and Internet publications, increased influence in the field based on information from international sources and on the recognition of our professionalism in the area of internet and mobile communications.
