Central South University is one of the key universities of China, which belongs directly to the Ministry of Education of China. The university has a long history of metal material research, which is No.1 in China. Hua'er powder material factory is one of the biggest powder material producers in China, whose products mainly are solid Tungsten disulfide (WS2) lubricant, solid Tungsten Chloride lubricant, Cobalt powders and its compounds, Metallic tungsten powder and Tungsten carbide. Among these products, WS2 production has a long history over 10 years. Solid Tungsten disulfide (WS2) lubricant ,using the Tungsten (99.99% purity) as raw material, is based on the new technology developed jointly by CSU. The FSSS particle sizes of WS2 are ranged between 0.8-6.0 μm and the purity is 99-99.9%, it is a kind of good lubricant. Traditional lubricants with fatty compounds decrease or even lose their lubricant property at high temperature. They certainly can't satisfy the need of high technology and various new types of machines. In this case, a new kind of lubricant has to be developed: it must be able to stand high temperature and high pressure. The solid WS2 lubricant is exactly this kind. Ordinary solid lubricants are made of natural graphite and molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), but usually in MoS2 there are other minerals, which are difficult to separate. So the ordinary lubricants are not so pure. Making full use of our country's rich resources of Tungsten and its own advanced technology, the School of Metallurgy, Central South University has developed the solid WS2 lubricant. It is hyperfine and highly purified and the fabrication process is short, simple and of no pollution. So it becomes more and more popular in various fields. Since our products have their superfine properties and can meet needs from many aspects, our powders have gained good reputation from battery, hard metals and diamond producers both in China and abroad.
