The First World Forum, Fair and Exhibition «World of Education: Expo 2001» is held on the initiative of the Russian Academy of Education and Smolny University with active support and cooperation of the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the North-Western federal district, Administration of Saint-Petersburg, Government of Leningrad region, embassies and diplomatic delegations of many foreign states. The main objective of the First World Forum, Fair and Exhibition «World of Education: Expo 2001» is the assistance in formation of the unified international educational area, expansion of cooperation and external economic activities of universities, institutes, colleges, high and secondary schools, finding new incentives for production of quality goods for young people, including text-books. On Saturday, on the 21st of April, and on Sunday, on the 22nd of April, 2001, more than hundred of leading universities, educational institutions from many countries of the world will have an opportunity to present their educational services and advertising materials to the prospective students from Russia, Byelorussia, Ukraine, and other states of the former USSR and Asia, as well as to show their achievements in the educational sphere to the participants, guests and visitors of the Forum, Fair and Exhibition. The 1st World Forum, Fair and Exhibition «World of Education: Expo-2001» in Saint-Petersburg provides an excellent opportunity to recruit outstanding students with tremendous potential a rapidly expanding markets. Russian Academy of Education and Smolny University invite interested persons (professors, teachers, etc) to present their work at the Forum, to be held on Monday, 23rd of April, and on Thuesday, 24th of April. The Focus of Forum-2001 will be on new educational and information technology. You may submit a proposal for a workshop, colloquim, lecture, poster, symposium, paper, debate or demonstration in the field on educational development.
