Representative Projects Cable & Wireless Corp. Cable & Wireless is a major global telecommunications business, focused on the provision of high performance global Internet protocol (IP) and data services to business customers. Its operations, with customers in 70 countries, offer a full range of telecommunications services. In addition, Cable & Wireless is implementing a new channel as a large scale ASP-type model. One of these ASP divisions, called Global Market, is a joint development effort between Cable & Wireless and Reuters (TIBCO Finance). Global Market has an emerging initiative to build one of the largest international business-to-business exchanges, which will provide services such as, multi-currency brokerage, international banking; and international trade facilitation. eTF is working on an integration project for Cable & Wireless Global Market that uses diverse systems, including a B2B catalog, personalization and membership, and client billing. A TIBCO Adapter framework was created to integrate various applications. A data mart for journaling and logging of application events was also created as part of the framework. The technologies used in the project include J2EE/EJB, Site Minder, LDAP/iPlanet Directory Server, Cohera (for catalog and content aggregation), Portal Infranet (for billing), TIBCO Active Enterprise, TIBCO Active Exchange, and TIBCO Active Portal. Zeborg, Inc. Zeborg is a business-to-business e-commerce procurement partner to Fortune 250 companies. Zeborg is building a set of vertical marketplaces that offers a unique solution to the ongoing struggle facing corporations around the world: inefficient costs associated with procuring indirect goods and services, such as commercial print, contract labor, and distributed computing. Leveraging Ariba's Marketplace and Dynamic Trade Platforms, Zeborg has applied its proprietary technology to secure best-in-class contracts for complex indirect spending areas, ensure efficient transaction capabilities between internal corporate buyers and external suppliers, and provide detailed data and analytical tools that empower purchasing managers to ensure permanently sustained cost savings. eTF is currently working on several modules, including the commercial print module that is used to price print jobs by preferred vendor, compare prices, and facilitate the bidding process. The technologies used in the project include J2EE/EJB, BEA Weblogic, and Ariba Dynamic Trade. Firstsource Firstsource is a leading Full Service Provider of e-Procurement solutions for buyers and sellers of business products and services. Firstsource suite of e-Procurement applications is an e-Marketplace that connects retailers or small businesses to the vendors in the supply chain. The solution is powered by their proprietary Inpowr engine, which provides automated rules-based order processing, custom catalog, real-time pricing and availability, multi-source drop shipping, customer service, and returns management. eTF consultants provided the architectural design for the next-generation eMarketplace for Firstsource. Our team of professionals, using Rational Unified Process and UML, completed the requirements and design process. Further, eTF evaluated, planned, and executed the migration to EJB and J2EE centric architecture. BEA Weblogic and TIBCO EAI solutions rounded out the newly designed architecture. Eletel Inc Eletel provides the most complete, scalable computer telephony and voice messaging solutions available to ISPs, ASPs, corporations, resellers, and individuals—in short, to anyone who wants the human touch of voice messaging with the ease of email. eTF developed whole range of products for Eletel including a small footprint cross platform voice over IP player / recorder, Voice mail solution for ASP and pocket pc based voice mail solutions. eTF created a subscription and membership database for a portal, which offered voicemail over email services and handheld devices. We created the organization structure for free users, subscribed users, and corporate users as well as the schema for storing message information (email message information). LDAP was being used by the telephony application to interface with various voicemail systems, and was replicated across locations for performance and availability. eTF created the application using Microsoft Active Directory and the Active Directory Services interface.
