In 1997, Double Star and Shanghai Shenlian Specialty Vehicle Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (A special vehicle division of Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp (Group)) jointly developed DoubleStar®, an armored vehicles series. Depending on the advanced CAD Auto Design Center, powerful machining and fabrication technology, strong production capability and a group of experienced engineers, Double Star continues to develop various kinds of security vehicles to meet both UL752 /NIJ0108.01 standards and Chinese comprehensive list of ballistic criteria. Now the output of DoubleStar® armored vehicles is already 1,500 per year. In 1999, we have been certified by ISO9001. In the meanwhile, Double Star also supplies other high quality security products to her customers, such as bulletproof & break-in–proof glazing systems, which greatly upgrades the anti-ballistic attack property contrasted with common bullet resistant glass.
