Aldergrove Adult Daycare was established in 1995 to prevent or delay the often unnecessary or premature institutionalization of persons who:
* Are age 50 or older
* Are at risk of institutionalization due to dementia related to Alzheimer's Disease or similar disorders, developmental disability or cerebral pathology.
* Require less than tenty-four hour care.
A.A.D.C. is situated on 2.5 acres of secure, parklike setting. It provides a 40 slot adult day care program that enables cognitively impaired persons to function at their maximum. Clients are involved in a variety of programs according to their abilities, capability and desire for social interaction with other clients and staff. The centre is described as a serene and happy place. Senior aquatic exercises in the large, warm indoor pool strengthen the clients' motor functions and reflexes while providing a sense of well being. Clients like the care, variety and companionship they find in the friendly surroundings of Aldergrove Adult Day Care.
